la.re.co.m. was founded on 2016 by the department of music science & art of the university of macedonia in thessaloniki in order to promote events, actions & publications connected to a great range of contemporary music topics. the laboratory runs under the direction of giorgos kyriakakis, professor for composition at d.m.s.a., and and functions thru the cooperation of academic members & phd researchers of the department with academic as well as non academic partners of all related areas.
